This is the horrific story of the model who got acid chucked in her face, by a 'friend' of her boyfriend because she dumped him. Blinded in one eye, and scarred for life, she can't even eat because her throat is burnt. She has to get fed through a tube.
To all the people who believe in 'fate' and 'karma': tell me what does someone do to deserve this?
GOD, those first operation pictures were so fucking horrific. I can't believe she looks as good as she does considering those pictures. They rebuilt her face entirely. When she described looking in the mirror for the first time, it was just completely harrowing. Just unimaginable how that must have felt, especially to someone who made her living through her looks.
Watching her parents have to massage her scars four times a day looked hard. Having to move back in with your mum must be hard. Not being able to go out on your own. Hard. Losing your looks AND your independence seems too much to bear.
So she met Danny on Facebook. He raped her after two weeks. Three days later he sent the guy to throw the acid at her. How much must he have paid him? Fucking cunt couldn't even do it himself. The CCTV of that was just terrifying; that's real life horror right there. That's You've Been Framed directed by George A Romero.
29 operations. God. She is one strong woman. 'Brave' is a weird word, because what choice does she have? It's just do or die, isn't it.
I didn't like it when she said she belonged to him now because of what he'd done. Don't admit it, don't let him think he's won. The thought of him watching this show and feeling smug is just unbearable.
That boyfriend cunt got a minimum of 16 years. The other guy got 12 (no minimum mentioned, but the papers say he'll only serve 6). Not long enough. But thank god it wasn't any less.
It was hard to see her suffer and feel so ostracised from society, but a lot of it is in her head (understandably). I think she could easily find love again. I think she needs to get out of her mum and dad's house as soon as she is strong enough.
She was absolutely stunning before, but she's still attractive, and she's got a gorgeous smile, and massive strength. I thought she looked really good at the party; I'd kill to have that figure and hair! I liked her dress as well.
The only way 'justice' can be done in this situation is to stick her ex and his stooge in a vat of acid. I'd enjoy watching. Just lower them in by robot, and then there's no morality issue. Then put it on TV, just to complete the circle.

Bodyshock: The Girl With Two Faces
Here it is! No, not the story of some lying teenager, despite the title. Bodyshock! or Freakshow! as I like to call it.
The girl with two faces was actually a baby born in India to a very poor family. It often seems to be the case that these strange phenomenons happen to very underprivileged people. Or maybe they just need Channel 4's cash more.
It was interesting that the baby was celebrated as a goddess when she was born, over here they'd probably chuck her in the dustbin. They celebrated her difference as being special and godly, not peculiar and ugly. She didn't look that freaky, just like those sheep you sometimes see on page three of the Daily Mail.
What are the advantages to having two faces? I guess seeing through four eyes could be handy. Unfortunately she might also be 'in two minds' (crap puns r us). It's not too healthy to have two faces so she needed an op to see exactly what she did or didn't have two of.
Before this could happen, however, she became gravely ill, due to being malnourished. Then the family faffed around instead of admitting her to hospital and she became close to death. She started to improve but then died of a massive heart attack. Oh.
I suppose it's better in a way. It wouldn't have been easy to grow up like that. The families' grief was no less real though. The priest refusing to do the funeral because they were of a lower caste than him was gross.
This freakshow was alright, but I prefer the adult freaks, as you get more of a personal angle. Until next time...

Sleeping With My Sister
A bit late with this one so bear with me! 'One thing led to another'. A common phrase, but it's not that simple is it? It almost sounds accidental when you put it like that. As Eminem once eloquently put 'what you tripped, fell, landed on his dick?' Aside from that, I'm on their side, really.
This documentary followed half brother and sister Nick and Danielle who grew up apart but met when he was 26 and she was 21. Is it weirder if they look a bit alike? Or is it the shared blood that makes it weird? I can understand the attraction might be strong, it's all that fancying people that look like yourself thing, isn't it? but I thought we were genetically engineered not to fancy our siblings? I have a half sister and I think I'd find it quite peculiar if either of my brothers went out with her, but mainly because we all look so alike? I don't know, I wouldn't disown anybody, I'd just think they were quite fucked up. But they are anyway. My dad might feel quite differently.
Their mum caught them having sex! That must have been quite dramatic. And they are being prosecuted for incest. In whose interest is it to charge them? I felt sorry for them. Personally, my thoughts on it are, if they want to sleep with each other, they aren't hurting anyone else (well except their parents, but we all do that sometimes). As long as they don't have children, who cares? It's not my business, let them get on with it. It may seem strange, but I don't really feel like judging them. I grew up on the Flowers in the Attic books and I was firmly on their side! I think people lack compassion and the ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes. They weren't even allowed to be in contact whilst the case was ongoing. What a waste of time and money. The court eventually ruled they weren't allowed to have sex again. Seeing them entwined in each other's arms, I suspect that pigs might be flapping overhead.
The documentary also followed another couple, Tom and Stephanie, also half-brother and sister, but this time married (to other people). They met three years ago for the first time and now cheat on their husbands and wives with each other once a week! Perhaps don't go on telly and admit that? Just a thought.First couple- genuine agony and I felt for them. Second couple- mild narcissism and very cavalier, not much sympathy there.

Documentary: The Street
I wouldn't have watched this but I saw a bit of it on Richard and Judy (as usual!) and it looked interesting. It is basically a documentary on what goes on in one street in London. The film maker decided to find out what goes on behind closed doors on her street.
It was quite unbelievable how many different interesting things were going on in one street. Every house told a story. The poverty divide seemed the most obvious difference. Considering people are living on the same street, some people were living very affluent lives, quite posh, and owning the whole property; whereas other houses on the street were converted flats, full of Kiwis, or NOT full of lonely old men.
Probably the most striking story was of this poor 25 year old guy with Tourettes who lived all alone, in squalor. His life was an absolute living nightmare. There are no other words for it. He died. I think he probably killed himself.
Similarly the old 91-year-old Polish guy had no one. He'd lived in the street for 50 years and knew no one. So presumably if he died, he'd just rot. It's just awful to be old and to have no one. I's awful to be old and in a home too. Do these health freaks think about that? I'll just keep eating shit and pray for a heart attack at 60.
There was also this drug smuggling schizophrenic. He said the voices in his head were 'tedious'. Haha. I think I fear voices in my head on about the same level as being trampled to death. Which is quite a lot.
The stories of the nuclear families seemed utterly dull in comparison, not really real. he posh family being annoyed by the drunken Kiwis was quite amusing. I'd hate living next to either party, really. Antipodeans who just come here to party are everywhere in London, but really, really dull. How many nights can you get drunk before you start to get bored? Quite a lot, apparently.
I wonder if all the people on the street now say 'hi' now they know loads of stuff about each other. It must be weird, knowing what goes on. I like knowing what goes on, but I kind of like not knowing what's going on too.
